Totoro in Downtown Ann Arbor

3.7 out of 5 stars

What I ate:
Appetizers - Gyoza
Salad - (Not sure what it's called... it was served with our meal)
Soup - Miso Soup
Entrees - Salmon Teriyaki Bento with Tempura and 4 pc. California roll

The salad and soup came first and were very good, but relatively small. Next came the gyoza (5 pc.) which were okay but a little bit too crunchy on the outside. Next came the Bento box. It was served with a small (I mean small) bowl of white rice, much less than I was used to getting, but then I saw why because the piece of salmon they gave was also very small. Inside the rest of the box was cold sesame noodles, 4 pc. California roll, shrimp and vegeatable tempura, wasabi, ginger, and a slice of orange. The sesame noodles were very good as was the tempura. Even though the portion of salmon was relatively small, it was still very good. Oh! I forgot to mention the salmon wqas served over some shredded veggies (carrots, daikon, etc) which were a good compliment to the salmon. The California roll was okay, served a bit warmer than I would have liked and not the best I've had. Overall, the food was pretty good, but not quite worth how much it cost.
